About Us
Our Story
We are a family owned and operated artisan chocolate company that trains and employees individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. It was started by Valerie for her son, Blake, who is a young man with autism in 2013 in her home kitchen. In 2016, we moved into our shop in Jupiter Florida. Our purpose is to offer delicious chocolate confections while also helping individuals with special needs. We accomplish this two ways: By providing individuals with developmental disabilities training and by providing employment opportunities in some circumstances. In addition to training, each participant has the opportunity to engage in meaningful and purposeful experiences with an emphasis on developing useful business skills that they can incorporate in their lives. We started with one young man and now have trained close to 100 individuals with autism and other special needs in our program.

Fatema has worked at The Chocolate Spectrum since 2017. She is presently both the manager of the shop and the Lead Instructor of our Training Program. Fatema is also the sister of a young adult with autism who is also one of our Apprentices. Fatema keeps this place going with her expert guidance and dedication.

Cristian has worked with our Team since 2014. At this time, he is not only a great Chocolatier, but he is also a Mentor Instructor in our Training Program. Additionally, Cristian is the Truffle Manager. He has the responsibility of making sure our truffle display is kept full and up to date.

Michael has been with us since 2015. He is a great chocolatier as well as one of our Mentor Instructors. He is well-known for his lively personality and sense of humor. You can usually find Michael making Oreos, Pretzels or molding out the truffles or making trips to the PO to ship out our packages.

Kevin as been part of our program since 2014 and joined our staff in 2018. Kevin is both a chocolatier as well as a Mentor Instructor. He is known around the shop as "Mr. Quality Assurance" as he has a great eye for detail and precision.

Hunter has been a part of The Chocolate Spectrum since it's inception in some manner, shape or form. He is actually the one who came up with the name of the business!! Hunter's jobs at TCS include Behavioral Analyst, Group Leader, and Chocolatier. he is also Blake's older brother and Valerie's oldest son

Blake is not only a great chocolatier, he is the inspiration behind the entire endeavor, He was the original chocolatier and the reason that this business exists. Blake is involved in many aspects of the chocolate business including making truffles and putting sprinkles on everything!
